

Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) excitedly welcomed the inaugural flight marking Delta Air Lines’ resumption of its Atlanta–Accra–Atlanta service. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the boarding gate on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, at Kotoka International Airport to commemorate this significant occasion.
The launch of this seasonal direct service offers Ghanaian travelers enhanced connectivity and convenience, linking Accra directly to Atlanta—one of the busiest aviation hubs in the United States. With a large Ghanaian population residing in Atlanta, this renewed service makes strong business sense for both GACL and Delta Air Lines, and is expected to meet growing travel demand between the two cities.

In her remarks, Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare reaffirmed GACL’s readiness to welcome additional route expansions and highlighted the company’s expectation that Delta Air Lines will maintain high standards of service, delivering timely, seamless, and efficient travel experiences for all passengers.
