A five-member Audit Committee of GACL has been inaugurated at a brief ceremony at Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
In her remarks, the Managing Director, Madam Pamela Djamson-Tettey highlighted the mandate of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) of coordinating, facilitating and providing quality assurance for internal audit activities within the organization and expressed the belief that members of the Committee will live up to the task ahead.
Administering the oath of office, the Director General of IAA, Dr. Eric Oduro Osae called on members to uphold a high sense of confidentiality and ensure that information brought to their attention in the course of their work is handled professionally.
The Chairman of the Committee, Nana Gyamfi Asare, who was elected by his peers, expressed appreciation to the team for the confidence reposed in him to steer the affairs of the Committee and also urged them to bring to bear all the needed skills to steer the company in the right direction.
Dr. Oduro Osae, while congratulating the Committee members, urged them to champion integrity, secrecy, objectivity, transparency and accountability in their line of work and encouraged them to develop a mutual relationship with GACL.
Members of the Committee include: Nana Gyamfi Asare (Chairman/Institute of Internal Audit Rep.), Ellen Blankson (Institute of Internal Audit Rep.), Malik Aidoo (Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana Rep.), Grp. Capt. Gervace Wienaa (GACL Board Member) and Mr Francis Kofi Nunoo (GACL Board Member).
