The Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Madam Pamela Djamson – Tettey has embarked on a guided tour of Kotoka International Airport to familiarize herself with operations and ongoing developments at the airport.
She was accompanied by Mr. Charles Hanson Adu, Group Executive, Airports Management and Mr. Isaac Owusu Adjarkwah, Director, Facilities and Infrastructure Management. The tour began with a visit to the ends of the runway (21, 03) where she witnessed the growing levels of encroachment on airport lands.
She also visited the northern apron construction site to observe the progress of work and subsequently to the Fire station where she was briefed on the functions of the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) by the Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Samuel Otoo. Mr Otoo indicated that the RFFS had succeeded in carving a niche within the West African sub-region for its expertise in aircraft recovery services.
Madam Djamson – Tettey climaxed her tour with visits to Arrival and departure halls, baggage makeup and parking stands at Terminal 3.
